We shift how the world invests: from extractive to regenerative, from short-term gains to long-term value — creating portfolios where financial and impact performance reinforce each other

Impact Integrity

Our impact process is grounded in three dimensions, together they create reliable impact integrity

We invest to move capital towards the safe and just operating space for humanity. This space is defined by the ecological limits economies must respect and the social foundations they must deliver on. This framework draws on the research of Prof. Johan Rockström and Kate Raworth.

Grounded
Grounded in research
We build portfolios on frameworks drawn from established impact and sustainability research — not narratives we invented to fit what we wanted to hold. The frameworks define where we look, what we fund, and how we decide.
Embedded
Embedded end-to-end
Impact is designed into every layer of portfolio construction, not added at the reporting stage. We select against the frameworks, construct at portfolio level across ecological and social outcomes, and report what the portfolio actually delivers.
Locked
Mission-locked structure
Mission drift usually begins when a manager sells equity and incentives shift. Clementine is mission-locked by design, with 20% of carried interest committed to non-profit purposes.
How we invest

From frame to investable universe

Our fund selection follows a structured approach across relevant dimensions.

Planetary boundaries
We follow the nine Earth-system processes defined by the Stockholm Resilience Centre: climate change, biodiversity loss, land-system change, freshwater change, biogeochemical flows, ocean acidification, atmospheric aerosol loading, stratospheric ozone depletion, and novel entities. Seven of the nine are already transgressed. These are the areas where private capital, deployed well, can contribute to safeguarding the operating space for humanity.

Social Foundations
We recognise health, education, equity, and inclusion as material dimensions of impact — drawing on Kate Raworth's doughnut economics framework, which pairs social foundations with planetary boundaries.

Additionality
We ask whether impact would have happened without this capital — and we answer it honestly. Additionality can be systemic by shifting how capital is invested or more direct via individualized strategies.
Investment Selection
A fund enters our universe when it makes a concentrated, credible contribution to at least one dimension and we consider it to be net impact positive. We do not chase every theme. We build coverage thoughtfully, one fund at a time.
Co-Creation

Co-Creation is our operating model, not a feature

Through that operating model we create an asset manager that is structurally aligned with the capital it serves.

Grounded
Co-Creation is how we think, decide and build
Purpose driven investing requires a structure that allows for investor input and mission alignment. Clementine brings the professional execution, while Co-Creators shape our strategy and make sure our offerings are tailored to their needs.

FIRM Level
The people who build Clementine
Co-creators are a small circle of investors who help build the platform they wish had existed. They work with the team on shaping strategy, pressure-testing new offerings, opening networks, and participating in governance. They are present from the beginning, not consulted after the fact.
